Who are we?

Hey, I’m Adam Connell, founder of Search Endurance.

I’ve got more than a decade of experience building and ranking websites in search.

I’ve managed a marketing agency, built a link building agency, and generated millions in revenue for my partners. I’ve worked with clients of all sizes from small boutique brands to international software companies.

My advice has been featured in a lot of places over the years:

Here are a few things about me:

  • In college, I ran a successful non-profit record label, thanks to leveraging SEO and blogging. This early success made me realize the power of organic traffic.
  • Before leaving to focus on my own projects, I was the operations manager at a UK-based marketing agency, helping businesses improve their visibility through SEO and content marketing.
  • I turned a fledgling link building agency into a $30K/month business in 4 months whilst working a couple of days on marketing each month.
  • I used to run a video game site with a few friends in my spare time. We grew the site to 30+ regular contributors and were the first site to test the Oculus Rift in the UK.
  • I’m ranked as one of the top 50 content marketers worldwide, according to BuzzSumo and Semrush.
  • I can split the atom on a yo-yo.
  • In my spare time I play guitar and ride freestyle BMX.

Why Search Endurance?

The idea for Search Endurance grew out of my desire to share what I’ve learned with those looking to grow sustainable, SEO-optimized businesses.

I’ve been doing this for more than a decade at Blogging Wizard, with a strong focus on helping content creators and bloggers.

But it eventually became clear that a dedicated SEO publication was needed to help deliver balanced and effective advice.

A publication not owned by an SEO tool or an SEO agency. An completely independent resource.

And so, Search Endurance was born.

There’s some significance behind the “Endurance” part of the name too.

I got my SEO chops in one of the most turbulent times for the industry. It was 2012 and around the time the Penguin update dropped.

I very quickly learned that SEO isn’t just about increasing traffic at all costs, it was about being smart and trying to anticipate whatever pummelling Google could potentially dish out.

Fast forward to today and those turbulent times are back with more brutality than ever before.

Like Rocky said:

“It’s not about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.”

And that’s the creed we live by.
